Summerhill Garden Centre
Located in Billericay, Summerhill Nurseries have been open since 1982 when it was purchased by the Humphreys family. Starting out with 5-6 members of staff selling fruit, vegetables and cut flowers. Summerhill has expanded 20 acres and to a team of 97 staff members. In a local newspaper Summerhill were named Best Local Garden Centre in 2020 and 2021, not only this but they are well known for their big plant ranges and impressive Christmas displays.
“We luckily received an email from CSY just as we were starting to discuss moving to another EPOS provider. Our previous supplier had changed to a cloud-based version which we found did not work for us,” expressed Charlotte Harrington at Summerhill Nurseries.
Back at the beginning of 2020, we installed the system into the Essex nursery after their meeting with our garden centre account manager and managing director. “We liked Deanna and Ross, and we felt we didn’t have the best relationship with our previous supplier. We liked that Vector was a long-standing program – proving people liked the system and that it worked.”
“It was mostly about how the system works for us – did it do everything we needed? And, yes thankfully it does. We have not really had to change any of our processes which is a great plus. I do like the cash count feature which was new for us.”
We pride ourselves on the team we have working at CSY, from our Helpdesk team to our handy engineers who install the systems. “Mahir was excellent! I felt confident in his ability to install and get it all working for us. The gentleman who ran the training course when myself and our till manager attended was very knowledgeable and helpful, along with the lady on the helpdesk who is always friendly and happy to help.”
“Our staff adjusted easily – systems are logical, so we have not had any issues showing staff how to use the tills, HHT’s and back office, which is used every day.”
